Design Lisa Renner

The sweater is worked from the top down. The 2 knit, 2 purl pattern is very elastic, so it accommodates a larger body than the chest measurement suggests. We have calculated the sleeves to be long for the size, so they can be folded up until the little emperor grows bigger. The intention is for the sweater to be quite long in the beginning; I personally think it is so nice when baby clothes cover the back well. Later, in the larger sizes, it is recommended to try the sweater on so it can be made exactly the length that suits its owner. That is what is so wonderful about knitting from the top down.
